Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is dedicated to ending cancer for life through innovative research and compassionate care. The Research Compliance Coordinator will support the Institutional Biosafety Committee in overseeing research involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules, ensuring compliance and facilitating the safe advancement of life-saving research. Responsibilities Provide regulatory and administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), which oversees research involving rDNA and other biohazardous materials Serve as a subject‑matter resource to investigators and institutional partners on IBC submission requirements, deadlines, meeting schedules, and protocol status Coordinate logistics for monthly IBC meetings, including agenda preparation, materials distribution, and meeting minutes Train users in the IBC electronic submission system, leveraging prior system knowledge to support accurate and compliant submissions Conduct follow‑ups with PIs and reviewers to ensure timely reviews and resolution of regulatory questions Track investigator and staff biosafety training and ensure compliance with required deadlines Support IBC protocol lifecycle management, regulatory education, and outreach initiatives Skills Minimum of 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a research regulatory or compliance role is required Demonstrated familiarity with IBC requirements, biosafety regulations, and regulatory review processes Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey regulatory requirements clearly Excellent organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality Prior experience supporting biomedical or laboratory research environments Company Overview The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life.
