They are seeking an HR Preboarding Specialist to ensure operational excellence in preboarding functions and HR transactions, while maintaining prescribed turnaround times and addressing complex issues as needed. Responsibilities Prepare offer letters for distribution to successful candidates Initiate background check process with 3rd party companies supporting background screening Provide timely correspondence to successful external candidates, and internally to recruiting team through a case management tool Organize and administer New Hire data entries and changes in Workday Support continuous improvement activities by critically reviewing and developing enhanced Preboarding processes Coordinate new hire start dates/locations with managers and candidates Coordinate with Tech, ISM and Security for laptop setup/access and badge issuing Review new hire work authorization documentation (I-9) on their first day Perform first day onboarding activities including review of high-level benefit, payroll, and portal information Perform routine processing of HR transactions including transfers, leaves, terminations, and employee data updates Update off cycle pay rate and other compensation changes Create and update job requisitions and their approval processes Process engagement and disengagement of Contingent Workers Handle Position Updates including creating new positions, and updates to position attributes for Job Reclassifications, Reorganizations, Career Progression and Standard hours changes Identify issues and escalate appropriately to HR Operations Manager Participate in testing of HR applications Make recommendation of process improvements Skills Bachelor's degree in HR or related disciplines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee data with discretion and professionalism Strong collaboration skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and professionalism Strong PC skills, including advanced Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups and macros 1-2 years of experience working in HR or related fields preferred Experience with issue tracking or case management systems Previous exposure to cloud-based data management systems such as Workday a plus Benefits Discretionary bonuses Profit-sharing Healthcare Income protection Professional development opportunities Time off Company Overview Brown Brothers Harriman is an American partnership bank that offers a range of international investment and banking services.
