Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data entry clerk / Typist to join our team. As a Data Typist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and document preparation. Your primary responsibility will be to type and transcribe various documents, reports, and correspondence while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Ā Data Entry: Accurately type and transcribe documents, reports, and other written material from handwritten, printed, or electronic sources.
Ā Formatting: Ensure that all documents are formatted correctly, following company guidelines and templates.
Ā Proofreading: Review typed material for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and make necessary corrections.
Ā File Management: Organize and maintain digital and physical files of typed documents for easy retrieval.
Ā Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and maintain data security... protocols.
Ā Meeting Deadlines: Meet established deadlines for document completion and submission.
Ā Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to clarify instructions and ensure accurate document preparation.
Ā Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on typing equipment, such as computers and printers.
Ā Research: Occasionally assist in research tasks related to the content being typed.
Requirements
Requirements:
Ā High school diploma or equivalent.
Ā Proven experience as a Typist or Data Entry Clerk.
Ā Proficiency in typing with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
Ā Excellent knowledge of word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word) and typing tools.
Ā Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ā Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ā Good communication and organizational skills.
Ā Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
