BPM developer is a software developer who specializes in building cloud-native business automation applications using the Kogito platform, focusing on designing and implementing business processes with tools like BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to create efficient workflows, often leveraging features like decision rules (using Drools) within a modern, containerized environment like Kubernetes, typically utilizing the Quarkus framework for fast development and deployment.
- Key aspects of a Kogito BPM developer role:
- Business Process Modeling:
- Design and model business processes using BPMN diagrams within the Kogito tooling, including defining tasks, gateways, and process flows.
- Decision Rule Development:
- Create business rules using Drools Rule Language (DRL) to incorporate complex decision logic into processes.
- Cloud-Native Development:
- Build applications optimized for cloud environments, utilizing containerization and microservices architecture with technologies like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Java Programming:
- Proficiency in Java is crucial as Kogito integrates seamlessly with the Java ecosystem and leverages Quarkus framework.
