Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Safety & Compliance Consultant to support our organization with safety-related guidance and regulatory awareness.
This is a paid position within our team, focused on contributing to internal initiatives related to commercial driving operations and compliance.
The role involves sharing real-world insights on topics such as roadside inspections, safety practices, and regulatory standards, based on prior professional experience.
- You will contribute through a combination of:
- In-person discussions (Los Angeles area)
- Recorded internal content
- Occasional team workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
This is an ideal opportunity for a retired police officer, CHP officer, or safety professional who wants to apply their experience in a flexible consulting role.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide insights related to safety practices and compliance procedures
- Support internal discussions on regulatory standards and enforcement scenarios
- Share real-world experience related to inspections and safety practices
- Assist in developing internal reference materials
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with team members
- Requirements:
- Must be based in the United States (Los Angeles area preferred)
- Background in one of the following:
- Law enforcement (police, highway patrol, traffic division)
- Commercial vehicle enforcement or DOT-related inspections
- Transportation safety or regulatory environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable sharing insights in group settings or recorded format
- Ability to work independently in a flexible arrangement
- Preferred (Not Required):
- Retired or former CHP (California Highway Patrol)
- Experience with commercial vehicle inspections
- Familiarity with CDL-related regulations or FMCSA standards
- Bilingual (English + Mandarin or Spanish)
- Prior experience sharing knowledge, presenting, or mentoring
Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
