Job Title: Project Manager / Producer, PC and Console Games

Location: Redmond, WA

Rate: $60-$63/ hour

Assignment Duration: 18 months expected

World’s Edge is dedicated to advancing the legacy of the Age of Empires franchise. This role partners closely with the Executive Producer to manage day-to-day production, workflows, and cross-functional coordination across multiple projects within the studio. The Project Manager / Producer plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality feature development, product publishing, and partner collaboration while supporting a fast-paced, inclusive, and quality-driven production environment. This position has direct influence over development outcomes, delivery quality, and operational effectiveness across internal and external teams.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, track, manage, and report on assigned tasks and work items across multiple initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver features, content, live events, testing, localization, product extensions, and engagement initiatives on schedule
  • Review and provide informed feedback on development schedules, roadmaps, and production plans
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to remove blockers and maintain clear delivery pathways
  • Communicate status, risks, and updates on critical work items to stakeholders at team and leadership levels
  • Actively improve workflows through existing solutions or the introduction of new tools and processes
  • Provide flexible production support to other Producers as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

    Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in game development, project management, or a related field
    Experience
  • 5+ years of project management or production experience in PC and or console video games
  • Producer role credit on at least two shipped PC or console titles
  • Experience supporting distributed teams and remote collaboration
    Core Skills
  • Advanced meeting leadership, task organization, and follow-through management
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools, including Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to produce clear, audience-appropriate reporting for contributors through executive leadership
  • Excellent verbal, written, and cross-disciplinary communication skills
  • Proven ability to proactively identify gaps, risks, and product needs
  • Strong organizational discipline and collaborative working style
  • Passion for gaming culture and player-focused development

Candidate Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications
  • First-hand knowledge of the Age of Empires franchise
  • Experience operating live Games-as-a-Service products
  • Strong PC technical knowledge and PC gaming experience
  • Scrum certification as Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Familiarity with C#, C++, or related programming languages and foundational engineering concepts
  • Ability to contribute strategic perspective that strengthens the long-term franchise roadmap
