As a Customer Care Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Providing information on in-force products to Agents, Policyholders, and Employees
- Communicating contract language in terms that callers will understand
- Resolving a wide variety of problems with customers
- Providing clear and concise information on problems
- Maintaining a log of incoming calls from customers and field personnel
- Following through to ensure that problems and requests are handled satisfactorily
- Following up on telephone inquiries
- Communicating with Policyholders and Agents on policy changes
- Completing specific projects relating to policies
- Assisting other departments in handling customer service problems
- Understanding the process for address and correspondent changes
- *Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a high-volume service environment
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; a relevant Associate's Degree is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Group Administration, Individual Administration, and basic claim processing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
- The ability to handle customer complaints and problems in a timely and courteous manner
- The ability to work remotely near Philadelphia, with occasional on-site work required
