We are seeking a part-time Medical Claims Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis from January to June 2025. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for entering source claim documents by reviewing and correcting data deficiencies. You will work in a production-paced environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity while adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Enter source claim documents by reviewing and correcting data deficiencies
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a production-paced environment
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security protocols
  • Meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data entered and complete tasks within deadlines
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet productivity goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
  • Perform quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with contractual obligations
  • *Requirements**
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in data entry or a related production-oriented field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of recognition software and/or other data entry systems (preferred)
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Ability to key a minimum of 9,000 keystrokes per hour while maintaining a 99% accuracy rate
  • Punctuality and attendance are critical in this position
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Experience working in a healthcare or medical claims environment
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
