  • *Key Responsibilities**

As a Remote Customer Service Advocate for Healthcare Services, you will be responsible for:

  • **Responding to Incoming Calls and Emails**: Provide essential information and support to applicants, their families, and the medical community, while maintaining a courteous and empathetic approach.
  • **Conducting High-Level Waiver Eligibility Screenings**: Assist callers in identifying the most suitable waiver program, while ensuring up-to-date knowledge of waiver program information, policies, and procedures.
  • **Scheduling Initial Intake Visits**: Arrange convenient times for applicants and provide referrals to Enrollment Brokers, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • **Maintaining Confidentiality and Respect**: Uphold consumer confidentiality and respect the efforts of families and caregivers in service planning and delivery.
  • **Collaborating with Colleagues**: Work closely with the Central Operations Manager and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • **High School Diploma or Equivalent**: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a clear statement on your resume.
  • **Experience in Human Services and/or Customer Service**: A minimum of three years of experience in human services and/or customer service is preferred, with knowledge of Pennsylvania Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • **Bilingual Capabilities**: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to earn a higher hourly rate.
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • **Three Years of Experience in Human Services and/or Customer Service**: A minimum of three years of experience in human services and/or customer service is preferred, with knowledge of Pennsylvania Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • **Familiarity with Medical Terminology**: Familiarity with medical terminology and a strong understanding of healthcare services are highly desirable.
