Billing & Bonus: They do bonuses based on Collaborative quarterly billing. The Lawyer can combine their billables with their legal assistant to hit higher numbers.
Responsibilities:
Β Legal Representation:
Β Provide effective and strategic legal defense to clients in workers' compensation cases.
Β Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.
Β Case Management:
Β Manage a caseload of workers' compensation files from inception to resolution.
Β Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions on behalf of clients.
Β Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Β Client Communication:
Β Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments.
Β Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and develop appropriate legal strategies.
Β Legal Compliance:
Β Stay abreast of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Β Ensure legal compliance in all aspects of case management.
Β Negotiation and Settlement:
Β Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
Β Evaluate settlement offers and advise clients on the best course of action.
Qualifications:
Β Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Β Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Β Proven experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
Β Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Β Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Β Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Β Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
