The VCF Operations Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management of VMware Cloud Foundation environments, focusing on hands-on operational execution and collaboration with client operations teams.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations of VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including compute, network, and storage components
Execute lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance using SDDCManager
Monitor platform health and respond to alerts, incidents, and performance issues
Troubleshoot issues across vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and VCF management components
Assist with environment configuration, capacity management, and performance optimization
Collaborate with client teams to support incident resolution and operational improvements
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and operational procedures
Follow established operational processes, standards, and client-specific requirements
Support onboarding of new workloads or infrastructure into existing VCF environments

Skills

Current Experience supporting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including the use of VCF Operations (formerly Aria Operations/vROps) for platform-wide monitoring, capacity planning, and performance management
Familiarity with lifecycle management, upgrades, and patching of infrastructure platforms
Experience with VMware technologies such as vSphere, NSX, vSAN, or SDDC Manager
Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues across compute, network, and storage
Ability to manage multiple operational tasks and priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Relevant VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, or related tracks
VCF 9 Knowledge: Experience with the unified VCF 9 console and its simplified networking workflows
