TEAM DRIVERS...
With 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, FLOFORM Countertops manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of the Best Managed Companies in North America.
Required immediately, our local Kent branch is seeking a TEAM of LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS. This is a full time position (Monday thru Thursday) that will be mostly local driving with some long haul driving to Canada.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for transporting countertops to and from branches and suppliers in accordance with their set route. This could include locations inside and outside Canada or the United States.
Desired Skills & Experience:
ย Must have and maintain Current Class A commercial driver's license and be forklift certified
ย High School Diploma or equivalency
ย 1-2 years of experience of long-haul driving
ย 1 year of experience with step deck, double drop or flatbed freight required
ย Knowledge of highway and road regulations
ย Current Passport and able to travel between the US and Canada
ย Valid work permit
ย Ability to operate a Forklift
ย Basic math skills
ย Must be able to lift 100lbs assisted
ย Able to drive for long extensive periods of time
ย Must have a clean driving record and a clear criminal record
Duties and Responsibilities:
ย Safely operates flatbed, semi-truck to transport countertops in a long-haul setting
ย Follows set trip route and reports on location as required
ย Sets route schedule 4 days on 3 days off
ย Safely operates a forklift, certification is a must
ย Loads and unloads cargo
ย Records cargo deliveries
ย Refuels and cleans vehicle to maintain proper maintenance and housekeeping standards in vehicle
ย Reports road incidents to supervisor
ย Follows traffic laws
ย Follows accident procedures if necessary
ย Maintains all paperwork associated with trips and turnover to supervisor at end of shift
ย Reports mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
ย Plans routes using GPS system
ย Maintains a positive attitude with customers
ย Commercial driverยs license must be kept up to date at all times
ย Regular out-of-town and overnight travel throughout Canada and USA
ย Other duties as assigned
