Job Overview
Full Time Automation Operator Position
2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm (Mon-Fri w/ Sat Availability)
The Full Time Automation Operator I will assist and facilitate case-picking and sorting activities within an assigned portion of the automated warehouse utilizing computers, software, and complex machines; proactively monitor upcoming orders; guide and assign teammates to the appropriate areas to ensure efficient operation. This role will also provide performance-based feedback; direction of work and guidance to the assigned team; assist in interviewing potential candidates; support any specific area of responsibility and, or Team as designated by the Warehouse Manager. Finally, the Automation Operator I must adhere to all established CCCI safety procedures and policies, while multi-tasking and making sound proactive decisions in a noisy and time-sensitive environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Β Operates VPS Vertique Picking and loading software within the automation environment with a high degree of competence
Β Maintain proper function of certain machines using advanced problem-solving skills, including simple data manipulation
Β Maintain a full understanding of package dimensions, descriptions, and SKU numbers
Β Troubleshoot powered conveyors for simple malfunctions
Β Participate in regular housekeeping duties within the machines as well as in the warehouse
Β May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Β Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
Β Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs.
Β Ability to collaborate within a team environment
Β Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
Β Easily transition between different work areas as needed throughout the workday, meeting minimum expectations within those areas
Β Ability to read and interpret instructions from the computer screen
Β Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages
Β Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled including high and low-temperature environment
Β Intentional self-starter takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities
Β Flexibility in Scheduling is required as work hours are subject to change based on business demands
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge acquired through 1 - 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an automated environment preferred.
Work Environment
Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment including high and low-temperature environment
