Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a
Senior Data Scientist at the Matching and Relevance Team, you will play a crucial role in preparing datasets, training and optimizing models, and maintaining and enhancing model inference services. You will research and apply new techniques from open-source applications and research publications, creatively adapting models to solve business issues across arenaflex. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing machine learning models from prototype to production, implementing best practices for evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization on model inference and product applications.
Key Responsibilities: Develop machine learning models from prototype to production, focusing on ranking science and relevance Implement best practices for evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps to ensure seamless model deployment Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization on model inference and product applications, driving business growth and innovation Participate in code review and process innovation for software engineers and data scientists at the group, and report your work to ensure transparency and accountability Balance technical and product thinking, demonstrating ownership for team goals and arenaflex's mission to assist humans in getting jobs Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (such as Computer Science, Math, the physical sciences, the social sciences, or associated fields) 2+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer, with a strong background in machine learning and data science Significant area expertise with training, fine-tuning, and evaluating large models, including experience with Deep Learning Libraries (like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Huggingface, etc.) Knowledge of recommendation systems, specifically rating algorithms, is preferred, as well as prior experience in production machine learning transport at scale Basic operating knowledge of Java is preferred, although not required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be advantageous: Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments Knowledge of natural language processing and computer vision techniques Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (such as Git) Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Strong technical skills in machine learning, data science, and software engineering Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams A strong passion for innovation and growth, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
