Job Overview As a Technical Editor at arenaflex, you will be responsible for supporting content creators, advocating for clients, and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our technical content. You will work closely with a team of editors to define quality standards, manage content freshness, scale editorial capabilities, and provide editing support. Your expertise will be essential in driving content cycles for high-priority initiatives across teams and organizations. Key Responsibilities Support content makers by providing insights into proper formatting, suitable audience, and best use of language Advocate for clients by ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable content that addresses client needs Improve and update templates and style guides for agile workflows and help define and implement optimal editorial workflow for given projects Manage content cycles for high-need initiatives across teams and organizations Collaborate with editors from various teams to align on best practices and maintain functional alignment Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
The essential qualifications for this position include: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience 2 years of experience with technical editing, technical writing, or content management Experience delivering or editing technical documentation for a developer audience Experience with Markdown Preferred qualifications include: Experience managing content projects, work prioritization, and partner expectations Experience influencing others and organizing work so that tasks are efficient and address client needs Experience with the Chicago Manual of Style and trends in language usage Ability to work collaboratively with partners across various teams and organizations Ability to manage individual priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to quickly learn digital writing tools What We Offer At arenaflex, we offer a competitive salary of $28 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
