Responsibilities: As an Organization Specialist II, you'll be responsible for scaling our current network plans to address the needs of our business, working closely with our Network Planners, Transport, Security Architects, and internal partners on plans and strategies. You'll create and update our network standards, ensuring that our organization is delivered to these guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include: * Working within a team of technical resources to support the Building, Designing, and Operations groups in managing and maintaining multi-vendor, multi-protocol project and production networks.
* Ensuring 24x7 operational support and maintenance of applications. * Supporting design tasks as assigned, connecting and communicating with managers and colleagues, and gathering and sending routine information requiring clarification or translation, typically to individuals within a single technical group. * Determining network issues with a low to moderate level of complexity while following established methods or analyzing data to identify and diagnose root causes, to resolve network issues or complete tasks.
* Demonstrating a strong work ethic, drive, and ability to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis. * Collaborating with the business to understand requirements and how to meet these requirements. * Ensuring incident management, guaranteeing that incidents are effectively raised, managed, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management and clients. * Participating in small to medium application and framework deployment projects and ensuring the outcome aligns with design principles.
* Working with technology vendors to evaluate software and hardware bugs and implement critical fixes. * Communicating with both internal and external contacts at various organizational levels to analyze, explain, and resolve issues for both technical and non-technical audiences. * Investigating daily live traffic transport and pressure delivery issues as they arise. * Being an exceptional team player who is skilled at making decisions at the association, system, program, project, and event levels, able to convince and change the thinking of others without harming relationships.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal direction, delivering under tight deadlines while performing multiple tasks, prioritizing projects, and communicating need updates to colleagues. * Able to work with limited resources, demonstrate impartial decisive reasoning, and creatively solve problems. Persuaded and innovative, always finding a way forward – an eternal positive thinker with a strong drive for contributing and making an impact. * Willing to participate in an on-call rotation.
Required Education, Experience, Abilities, and Training: * Minimum
Qualifications: + Strong demonstrated hands-on technical experience with technologies and concepts including zone-based firewalls, web application firewalls, application delivery controllers, remote access solutions, switches, routers, pressure equipment, and NAT translation equipment. + Experience and basic knowledge of transport, network, and web routing concepts, security strategies, and protocols; specifically, BGP, OSCP, TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, DWMD.
+ Experience with protocol analysis, transport analysis, network stream analysis, and packet capture tools. + Open to working in a fast-paced, dynamic, content-driven environment and creating adaptable solutions to meet growing business needs. + Has strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively to ensure tight deadlines are met. * Preferred
Qualifications: + Experience in the media or digital content delivery industries. + Working knowledge of commercial design standards, industry guidelines, and best practices.
+ Knowledge of risk assessment strategies, policy development, job-based approval procedures, validation techniques, and security attack pathologies. + Experience in pre-arranging with Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell, C, or C++. + Maintain broad skills in various technical areas such as server, storage, desktop, security, transport, and network systems.
