Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant to in Atlanta, GA. As a crucial member of our Specialty Mail Order team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services, providing exceptional customer service, and making a direct impact on the lives of our patients. Key Responsibilities Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient referrals Make outbound calls and fax physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring seamless communication with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders Utilize strong computer skills to accurately and efficiently process patient data, prescriptions, and other relevant information Collaborate with the pharmacy team to resolve issues, address concerns, and improve overall patient satisfaction and outcomes Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, customer service, and data entry Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA, with a commitment to maintaining certification and staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices Verifiable High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, with a strong educational foundation in a related field (e.g., pharmacy technology, healthcare administration) Preferred qualifications include: Specialty pharmacy experience, with a deep understanding of transplant patients' unique needs and requirements Call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment Prescription adjudication experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: High levels of reliability, accuracy, and professionalism, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and patient care Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve issues and address concerns in a timely and efficient manner Strong computer skills, with proficiency in pharmacy software and systems, as well as bolthires Office applications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease
