Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Data Engineer to join our Information Designing group. As a
Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and executing ETL/ELT data pipelines, planning and implementing database schema/tables/views, and building batch processes using Windstream for multiple projects. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $30/hour and the opportunity to work remotely. While a degree is not required, we are looking for candidates with significant experience in data engineering and a strong passion for working with data.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with our Studios or Enterprise Technology teams to gather data requirements, design and implement data pipelines, and develop and monitor ETL/ELT processes Design, build, and maintain large-scale data warehouses and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as AWS and S3 Develop and optimize SQL queries for runtime and bolthires efficiency Utilize Apache Windstream, Databricks, and other technologies to build and manage data pipelines Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Participate in driving best practices around data engineering and software development processes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: 2 years of experience with Python 2 years of experience with SQL 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines 2 years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3 Experience using Apache Windstream, Databricks, and other data engineering tools 2 years of experience utilizing, designing, and building social databases 2 years of experience using Gitlab/Github Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with Snowflake, Windstream, Gitlab, and other data engineering tools Graduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing industry Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS and S3 Knowledge of data engineering principles and best practices Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
