In this role, you’ll lead internal communications across the Marketing organization, shaping the voice of the CMO and ensuring alignment, clarity, and connection across teams. While the role includes supporting the CMO’s external thought leadership, approximately 75% of your time will be focused on internal audiences—driving engagement through department-wide communications, leadership forums, and moments of organizational change.

This is a high-impact role requiring both strategic insight and creative execution. You’ll be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, translating enterprise-wide updates into relevant messaging for Marketing, and fostering an informed, connected department. Senior Director, Executive Communications and can be based out of any US office or remotely within the US.

We are looking for someone to join us immediately. What you’ll do: • Act as the primary communications partner for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), leading the development and execution of written and verbal communications across all internal channels. • Develop the foundational elements of the CMO’s executive communications strategy, ensuring a consistent voice and narrative that reflects the CMO’s leadership platform and vision for the Marketing organization. • Partner closely with the Internal Communications team to execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy for the Marketing organization — including Marketing Town Halls, leadership forums, department-wide updates, and key moments of change.

• Work closely with the Employee Communications team to translate enterprise-wide communications into relevant, actionable messaging for the Marketing organization to foster alignment, transparency, and engagement. • Build and maintain an editorial calendar to track and prioritize Marketing communications across internal channels. • Provide support for critical communications projects including leadership transitions, organizational change, and business transformation within Marketing. • Develop and manage communications project plans, ensuring timely and thoughtful delivery of internal messaging through All Hands, Town Halls, email, Slack, AMA’s, video, and other channels.

• Prepare the CMO and Marketing leadership team for internal speaking engagements and ensure alignment on messaging. • Partner with Brand Marketing, PR, and Social Media teams to support external storytelling and thought leadership for the CMO, ensuring consistency of voice and alignment with Procore’s overall brand narrative. • Become deeply familiar with the CMO’s voice and leadership style, shaping key messaging and ongoing communication efforts to reflect that voice consistently across all platforms.

What we’re looking for: • 8–10+ years of communications experience, with a strong background in internal communications and executive communications. • Proven experience supporting executives at high growth tech companies. • Executive presence — a trusted partner who can advise and support C-level leaders, with confidence and discretion. • Excellent written and verbal storyteller with an ability to simplify and express complex ideas clearly for a range of audiences. • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of multimedia, visual storytelling, and modern communication platforms (Slack, video, intranet, etc.). • High attention to detail and strong editing skills. • A strategic thinker with strong execution skills—able to think big-picture while flawlessly managing the details. • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills; able to work across teams and functions. • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback; comfortable adapting content as needed. • BA/BS degree or career equivalent • Occasional travel may be required (~10%).
