The Jackman Law Firm is expanding its services and seeking a contract or part-time Estate Planning Paralegal to help launch a new estate planning offering for our family law clients. This role will support the firm during the initial rollout of discounted estate planning packages, with the potential to grow into a longer-term or full-time position if demand increases. About the Role We plan to begin offering estate planning services, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, primarily for Washington State.
The selected paralegal will be expected to have experience in estate planning drafting, help ensure accuracy and consistency, and may be asked to assist in helping develop workflows. Hours & Duration • Approximately 10–20 hours per month for the first few months • Flexible scheduling • Potential to expand to full-time if the program grows significantly Responsibilities • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives • Work with WealthCounsel or similar estate planning software • Ensure documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with firm standards • Communicate with attorneys as needed regarding drafting and revisions • Assist in creating drafting processes and best practices • Help train internal paralegals on estate planning drafting once workflows are established Schedule • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Qualifications • 5+ years as an estate planning paralegal • Familiarity with wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents • Experience with WealthCounsel preferred (but not required) • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment • Experience in a law firm setting required Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $36.52 - $50.80 per hour Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
