Rate or rates of pay: $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses; $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period; $1,352 per credit for graduate courses. Any future updates to per credit rates of pay will be reflected within the electronic contract. Job Summary:

The College of St. Scholastica seeks qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Department of Healthcare Informatics and Information Management (HIIM).

Adjunct faculty are hired on a course by course basis as they become available either in the classroom or online. Key Responsibilities: Adjunct faculty may teach courses in areas in which they are qualified and/or knowledgeable. Courses may be assigned at the graduate or undergraduate level as appropriate and available. Adjunct faculty are responsible for creating a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with HIIM educational objectives and consistent with curriculum standards of the program accrediting agency.

Course text, syllabus and other teaching materials are expected to achieve course and program outcomes. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain published course contact hours and demonstrate commitment to the Department mission, goals, and objectives. Job

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or higher. Ability to communicate effectively, to exercise initiative, and to work toward successful student learning is required. Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency and experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.

Preferred

Qualifications: Previous teaching experience including in the classroom and/or online is desired. RHIA credential preferred. Apply tot his job
