Online Librarian – RemoteInstitution: [Cambridge University]Programs Supported:- Master of Science in Data Science (MSDS) - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Administration (BS CS/BA) - Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (PhD CS) - Master of Science in Nursing – Leadership (MSN-NL)Position OverviewCambridge University seeks an experienced and dynamic Online Librarian to support students and faculty in our growing online programs. Key Responsibilities· Curate and manage digital collections relevant to each program area.· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electronic databases, open educational resources (OERs), and library technologies.· Provide virtual reference and research support to students and faculty via chat, email, and video consultations.· Develop and maintain program-specific research guides, tutorials, and instructional materials.· Collaborate with faculty to embed library resources and research skills into online courses.· Participate in ongoing professional development to support innovation in online learning environments.QualificationsRequired:· Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution.· Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing library services in higher education, preferably in an online or hybrid environment.· Proficiency with academic databases· Excellent communication, instructional design, and digital literacy skills.Preferred:· Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).· Experience supporting programs in computer science, data science, business, or nursing.· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.Work Environment· Fully remote position with flexible scheduling.· Must have access to a reliable internet connection and quiet workspace.· Reports to the Director of Student Services.
