Freight Broker –
Remote (Chicago-Based) | 1099 | up to 50% Commission on Gross Profit Company Overview We’re hiring on behalf of a small, agile freight brokerage based in Chicago, IL, proudly in business since 2018. With a tight-knit team and a strong foundation, we’re growing our operation and looking for a motivated freight broker who’s ready to plug in and earn big. Position Overview We’re looking for a self-driven, experienced freight broker who thrives in a performance-based environment. This is a 1099 contractor position, fully remote, with uncapped earning potential.
You’ll earn 50% of all gross profit you generate—no cap, no limits. If you can bring in freight, maintain customer relationships, and book loads. We’ll support you with everything else you need to move it. What You’ll Do • Bring your own book of shipper business and actively prospect for new customers • Provide excellent service to build lasting relationships with customers • Collaborate with a responsive back-office team that handles billing, compliance, and paperwork What We’re Looking For • 2+ years of freight brokerage experience (carrier or customer side) • A strong understanding of the freight lifecycle and brokerage operations • A proven ability to generate and retain your own book of business • Excellent negotiation, communication, and time-management skills • Comfortable working independently in a remote 1099 structure What You’ll Get • 50% commission on gross profit — no cap • Full back-office support (carrier vetting, invoicing, paperwork) • Freedom to work remotely, with flexible hours • Supportive leadership that understands brokerage • The chance to grow with a lean, established firm that values performance
