Looking for 1099/contract radiologists for new contract in Arizona providing community hospital coverage in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley. Malpractice covered by the group as long as a minimum 48 shifts per year covered, otherwise work as many or as few shifts as desired. Extremely flexible schedule, with ability to work day, evening, overnight, or mix and match shifts. Compensation is much higher than typical rates nationally ($48 to $56 per wRVU compared with about $30 to $42). Swing shift/evening shift remote =$48/wRVU Daytime weekday onsite =$54/wRVU Daytime weekend onsite =$54/wRVU Overnights remote =$56/wRVU Arizona license required Must be comfortable with light procedures for onsite shifts (thora, para, LP) * Procedure volume is low, some days with no procedures Evening shifts can be tailored to radiologist’s comfort level, typically around 12 to 15 wRVU/hour, with more wRVU available for fast readers Overnight shifts typically avg 12-15 wRVU/hr.
*option to add wRVUs with routine studies for higher volume Daytime onsite highly flexible with priority for cases/volume given to onsite radiologist, with access to 100+ wRVU every day, but no requirement to read beyond 50wRVU per shift for those choosing a slower-paced day. Backup is available for cases beyond comfort level Case mix is excellent, allowing quick reads/high productivity with no tertiary centers and few complex cases Volume of cases allows one to easily produce yearly income greater than $1M for those taking 186+ shifts per year.
For example estimated salary for daytime onsite shifts, M-F 8a-4p, with 15 weeks vacation (14 weeks 4 days to be exact) is $1,004,400 (based upon access to volume of 100+ wRVU/day at $54/wRVU=$5,400/day) Lucrative swing shift, weekend shifts and overnights available with per wRVU rates as noted above. Examples of schedule options include, but not limited to: 7 on 7 off swing shift, 7 on 14 off (1 in 3) overnights, 7 on 35 off (1 in 6) overnights, or variations of these.
