Description Are you interested in being a part of a team that is dedicated in protecting the lives and property of this Commonwealth? The Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction, Division of Electrical, Support Section is seeking an Administrative Specialist Senior. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the statewide Electrical program. Specifically, reviewing Electrical License applications in accordance with regulation. Key Responsibilities: • Reviews new and renewal applications for the Electrical licensing and certification program.
• Assists in coordinating Electrical Continuing Education programs. • Interprets laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to agency staff and public. • Answers calls to the Division of Electrical main phone line. • Monitors and responds to phone messages left in the Electrical inbox. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Experience reviewing and processing applications. • Strong communication and writing skills. • Organizational Skills. • Proficient in bolthires Excel and Word. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
