Job Description
NEAR is a modular and scalable protocol built to empower AI agents: to understand user intent, perform transactions, orchestrate execution, and adapt over time. Our ecosystem provides the foundation for AI-native applications — combining fast L1 infrastructure, cross-chain interoperability, and a developer-first environment that abstracts away blockchain complexity. What You’ll Be Doing: • Effectively communicate and collaborate with a globally distributed team • Work closely with NEAR’s leadership to explore new opportunities • Work with partners to define technical requirements and prototype implementations • Contribute to the team’s technical roadmap • Facilitate cross-functional work within the organization • Facilitate discussions and debates, consolidating different perspectives to drive decisions to execution • Open source community contribution by collaborating with external contributors on our codebase and participating in community events.
What We’re Looking For: • Experience working with blockchains or complex distributed systems • Ability to quickly learn and grasp complex engineering concepts • An effective communicator and ability to remain calm under pressure and when juggling multiple priorities • Fluency with algorithms and data structures • Experience with Rust or alternatively but less preferred C++ or Go • Experience with concurrency or parallelism • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is a must • Open source contributions and previous or continued involvement in open source communities • Experience with LLMs • Knowledge and experience with cryptography • Experience with Rust • Experience working at a startup Please let us know if you require any special requirements for your interview and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
