About the position As a
Senior Intelligence Analyst at GDIT, you will ensure the safety and security of our nation by applying the latest technology and providing operational support to deliver actionable intelligence. You will leverage open source and commercial software tools to review, assess, and collect data from a variety of sources, including news publications, blogs, social media platforms, and more. Your role will involve intelligence gathering and assessment, data analysis, and reporting, focusing on cryptocurrency and cybercrime investigations.
Responsibilities • Evaluate Internet information from social media, chats, forums, darknet, TOR network, news feeds, and other sources. • Analyze data to identify investigative opportunities and intelligence to support various investigative programs. • Perform prioritized assessments of data to identify critical and reliable information. • Create intelligence and investigative reports detailing the steps taken, data sources reviewed, and conclusions drawn. • Use technology solutions to search, analyze, and prioritize marketplaces and criminals.
• Conduct analyses and research to prepare reports using tabular, pictorial, or graphical techniques. • Deliver summary results to various organizational levels in an understandable format. Requirements • 7+ years of related experience in intelligence operations pertaining to cybercrimes, cryptocurrency, and dark web. • 1+ years of law enforcement report writing experience. • Strong experience with cryptocurrency tracing and understanding of how bad actors navigate open-source platforms. • Advanced understanding of methods used by criminals to hide online and conduct business.
• Experience with cyber intelligence tools and software for searching and mining data. • Strong communication and presentation skills. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree in engineering, cyber, or related discipline. • 3+ years of experience with blockchain, mixers, tumblers, and money laundering techniques. • Experience with visual tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, and/or i2 Analyst Notebook.
