About WasteOptix WasteOptix builds AI- and data-driven software for waste & recycling companies—dispatch, driver apps, interactive maps, compliance, and analytics. We work with partners in Israel and the U.S. to turn complex field operations into clean, automated workflows. Job Description We’re looking for a hands-on Django developer to help expand our production platform. You’ll design and build clean REST APIs, data models, and automation logic for our core modules (Dispatch, Driver App, Reports, Interactive Map).
Responsibilities Build and maintain APIs using Django + Django REST Framework Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries Integrate backend logic with external systems (GPS, sensors, AI) Collaborate with frontend (React) and DevOps teams Ensure reliability, performance, and clean code standards Requirements 2–4 years experience with Django / DRF Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and JSON serialization Experience with Git and Docker Good English and teamwork skills Nice to Have Real-time processing (Celery, WebSockets) Experience with Mapbox / OSRM / routing APIs Exposure to BigQuery / MongoDB / Couchbase Why Work With Us Real users, real impact — not a side project Tight team, fast iterations, and high ownership Long-term collaboration potential To Apply Share a few Django projects or API samples you’ve built recently (GitHub/portfolio).
