Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated virtual tutor to enhance our 3rd grader’s reading and language arts skills for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year (September 2024 - May 28, 2025). Key Responsibilities • Conduct one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions focusing on 3rd-grade reading and language arts, including comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency.
• Aid in reading assignments and facilitate ongoing literacy skill development to support the student’s schoolwork. • Employ creative and interactive online teaching methodologies to engage the student and make learning enjoyable. • Offer constructive feedback on progress and highlight areas for improvement. Required Skills • Current certification as a teacher with a robust background in elementary reading, literacy, and language arts. • Proficiency in crafting engaging, interactive, and effective virtual lesson plans.
• Exceptional patience and communication skills for individualized online tutoring. • Proven experience in enhancing students’ reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. • Familiarity with online teaching platforms, such as Zoom. Qualifications • Certified teacher with a strong foundation in teaching reading and language arts at the elementary level. • Documented success in improving student literacy skills. • Availability for consistent tutoring sessions 2-3 days per week throughout the academic year.
• Preferred: Current teacher in Fort Bend ISD.
