Senior IT Security Engineer to lead the implementation of their cybersecurity program, focusing on security technology deployment and operational security in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities β’ Lead the technical deployment, configuration, and integration of systems and processes to improve our security posture (Ex: Patch management process, MFA, etc) β’ Establish initial alerting, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities within security platforms to create immediate operational visibility β’ Own and execute the new Security Incident Response Process, acting as the primary technical responder for security alerts, performing initial analysis, containment, and log correlation β’ Develop and maintain clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for the newly implemented security systems β’ Work closely with the IT Engineering team to implement baseline security configurations and hardening standards across endpoints (Windows, macOS, Linux) and cloud platforms (GCP and/or Azure) β’ Create and maintain detailed system documentation, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides for all security tools β’ Support the IT Engineering team by providing expert guidance on integrating security controls into network and system architecture Skills β’ 4+ years of practical experience in IT security engineering or operations, with a proven history of delivering security improvements β’ Deep technical skill with installation, management, and troubleshooting of IT applications and security related configuration β’ Strong background in supporting security within IT infrastructure, including Network Security fundamentals β’ Security configurations for Windows, macOS, and Linux β’ Familiarity with foundational security controls in GCP and/or Azure β’ Proven ability to quickly learn new tools, follow detailed implementation plans, and execute incident response steps in a methodical manner β’ Excellent ability to communicate technical requirements and work seamlessly with the broader IT Engineering team to ensure security standards are met during system deployments β’ Experience in mid-sized, high-growth tech companies β’ Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, or OSCP β’ Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA) β’ Background managing vendor relationships and procuring cybersecurity tools β’ Knowledge of data visualization tools for security analytics (e.g., Looker, Splunk dashboards, Elastic) Benefits β’ Healthcare β’ Dental β’ Mental health support β’ Parental planning resources β’ Retirement savings options β’ Generous paid time off Company Overview β’ More than a dental labβDandy is a tech-powered, end-to-end solution delivering high-quality, customized restorations at scale.
