Remote Physical Therapist, you will be an integral member of the care team providing comprehensive, virtual physical therapy services to fibromyalgia patients via audio and video calls, as well as through written communications. To be successful in this role, you should have a proven ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy in a remote telehealth setting.

You should understand the value of integrating physical, behavioral, and pain self-management strategies to help patients with fibromyalgia and related musculoskeletal conditions improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. You are a caring, compassionate clinician who enjoys helping others and creating a positive rehabilitation experience on a telemedicine platform. You understand the frustrations of living with a challenging and variable chronic illness, but also the importance of an uplifting, motivationally-based, and empowering care approach.

This is a work-from-home position. You must have a valid Texas physical therapy license and the ability to work normal central time business hours. The role is for 20-30 hours a week initially as an independent contractor but could expand to full time as patient volume requires. CONTRACT RATE • $40 – $50 per hour, depending on experience and fit for the role • 20 – 30 hours per week SPECIFIC DUTIES • Conduct Physical Therapy evaluations and follow-up visits via telehealth. • Conduct video, phone, synchronous, and asynchronous visits and messaging with patients, including assessment, evaluation, and formulation of a comprehensive physical therapy plan of care.

• Design and progress individualized exercise programs, movement retraining, pacing strategies, pain education, and psychologically-informed care tailored to fibromyalgia. • Provide education to patients on movement, exercise, lifestyle strategies, and pain self-management. • Adhere to and help refine clinical protocols and standard operating procedures. • Participate in clinical and operational initiatives to enhance patient care. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (nursing, behavioral health, physicians) to support integrated patient care.

• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, documentation standards, and performance metrics. • Work closely with the Medical Director and other key staff to enhance and optimize the care model. • Ensure all work complies with Swing Care’s internal policies and compliance program. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE • Minimum 2–5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in direct patient care, preferably in the following: • Pain management • Musculoskeletal/orthopedic rehabilitation • Physical medicine and rehabilitation • Experience with multimodal approaches (exercise, cognitive-behavioral techniques, pain self-management strategies) EDUCATION AND LICENSING • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (DPT preferred).

• Current, unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in Texas. • Compact PT license and willingness to expand state licensure (PA, OH, etc). COMMUNICATION SKILLS • Experience delivering physical therapy remotely via video. • Excellent written and verbal communication with patients, colleagues, and staff. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with sensitivity to patients living with chronic illness. • Adept at providing education on pain, function, and multidisciplinary care approaches. • Shows respect and sensitivity to patients living with a frustrating condition.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Ability to pass background checks according to company policy. • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and unwavering commitment to patient privacy. • Proficiency with telehealth technology and EMRs. • Reliable broadband internet and a private working environment suitable for video appointments.
