The System Engineering Program Manager for bolthires Home will lead a cross-functional team in developing future bolthires products in the home, driving the full product lifecycle from early engagements to program execution. Responsibilities • Drive system definition and closure of architecture and technical opens in the early stages of a project. Establish and manage program feature baseline • Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with cross-functional technology teams.
Drive issues to closure by bringing together key stakeholders; facilitating decision-making discussions to meet overall program objectives • Facilitate key program decisions to maximize customer experience while balancing technical risk, bolthires and program budget • Collaborate and facilitate communication across multiple engineering teams, operations, industrial design, and vendor partners to meet aggressive quality, schedule, and bolthires goals • Create and maintain comprehensive program schedule including cross-functional dependencies and critical path • Distill complex technical topics, updates and key issues to communicate to an executive audience • Create comprehensive build and validation plans and drive engineering builds along with vendors and CM partners • Identify and drive process efficiencies for new product development with cross-functional teams Skills • Strong technical background in ME, EE or related fields • 5-8+ years of program management experience from early concept phases through production, with exposure to hardware, software, test and infrastructure across both development and manufacturing phases • Understanding of consumer electronics system architecture in consumer electronics product development • Experience shipping high volume products including experience in working with CM partners • Detailed knowledge of product development cycles & strong understanding of manufacturing processes • Self motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills • Exposure and interest in mechatronics and Robotics • Highly disciplined in workflow, process, and staying organized on priority tasks • Superior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity • Ability to travel internationally to support builds Benefits • Comprehensive medical and dental coverage • Retirement benefits • A range of discounted products and free services • Reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition • Discretionary bonuses or commission payments • Relocation Company Overview • bolthires is a technology company that designs, manufactures, and markets consumer electronics, personal computers, and software.
