Important information: Please note that this is an unpaid student internship, open only to currently enrolled university students. We are looking for a student who can work part-time (15 hours per week) for a duration of 2 months. The hours can be scheduled flexibly to suit the intern, making it ideal for fitting around studies. Who we are: Strollhunt is an early-stage startup that uses technology (such as Geolocation, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence) and gamification to offer the most fun way to explore cities (or any outdoor area, such as a park or a garden); imagine the fun of Pokémon Go, but with the added benefit of learning about the city as you play.
We market our no-code Augmented Reality platform to tourism boards, cultural organisations and travel companies, allowing them to provide their audience of locals and visitors, with a more playful, social and educational experience of the destination. The team is composed of a Founder and CEO (ex-Samsung and Stanford GSB), Mobile Engineers, and a Marketing Manager. Who we are looking for: You are perfectly fluent in English, have demonstrable experience writing creative content in areas such as travel, arts, and culture, and have used Generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Stable Diffusion. You are also passionate about the cultural heritage of cities and love real-world games such as Pokémon Go, Geocaching, Adventure Lab, scavenger hunts, or treasure hunts.
This Student Internship is an opportunity to: • Experience what it's like to work at an early-stage technology startup. • Grow your Content Creation skills by doing. • Develop your Generative AI prompting skills. • See the application of your work in the real-world. Key responsibilities: • Create fun and insightful Augmented Reality city exploration games for the Strollhunt: Walk Play, Learn app (no coding experience is needed thanks to the no-code Augmented Reality platform we've developed). • Perform online research to curate the most visually unique and historically or culturally significant points of interest in cities around the world.
• Apply Strollhunt's game mechanics to these points of interest by creating creative clues and amusing hints to help users find the points of interest in the real world. • Write interesting stories about the points of interest the users discover in the real world. • Input this content into our Content Management System to make it available in the app. • In addition to "Content Creation" activities, you will be supporting on "Growth Marketing" and "Business Development" activities. • Growth Marketing: Support in the definition, creation and running of organic, viral and guerilla product marketing campaigns (including asset creation and social media posts) to grow iOS and Android app downloads in cities where Strollhunt is available to play.
• Business Development: Identify prospects’ (tourism boards, cultural and heritage organisations, travel companies from around the world) contact details and add them to our CRM. Must have skills: • Excellent English writing skills and demonstrable experience writing quality online content. • You demonstrate a proactive approach and a high level of autonomy, along with a positive, can-do attitude. • Experience using Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion). • A natural curiosity for the arts, history, and culture.
• A love for telling engaging stories. • Good online research and multi-tasking skills. Desired skills: • A love for real-world games (e.g., scavenger or treasure hunts, Geocaching, Pokémon Go). • Experience submitting Waypoints in Niantic Wayfarer, caches in Geocaching, or Adventures in Adventure Lab is a strong plus.
