We are looking for forward-thinking technologists who can accelerate our focus areas such as building stronger foundational technology capabilities, reducing complexity, employing digital transformation concepts, and leveraging disruptive technology. The Lead Data Engineer develops and supports business analytic reporting utilizing the latest BI tools in a Cloud-based environment. This position works with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business customers to develop and deliver reports that are critical for business operational and forecasting needs.
Responsibilities • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Business customers to automate and build analytic reporting that will reduce manual effort and assist in making business decisions. • Implement best practices to deliver high-quality intuitive reporting of manufacturing data to advance the state of the art in efficiency optimization and predictive analytics. • Develop reports utilizing connections to manufacturing system databases and data to curate Enterprise-wide financial and operational views for Business customers.
• Provide WestRock leadership with highly valuable and transparent reporting that will drive decisions for the entire enterprise. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar. • At least 7-10 years of strong Data Engineering experience. • At least 3-5 years of Alteryx Designer support. • Experience with one of the following BI platforms: Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, Quicksight. • Experience with scripting/coding (SQL preferred). • Familiarity with ETL concepts and technologies. • Familiarity with cloud-based Big Data platforms and services.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and data stores. • Developing analytic reporting skills including scripting/coding, UI/UX design, publishing, testing techniques. • Familiarity with assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements. • Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities. • Good communication abilities to interact with clients, and internal and external customers.
