About the position BlackRock's Manager Research team is looking for an Associate to join our Fixed Income Manager Research team in New York. BlackRock Manager Research (“BMR”) is a global research investment team responsible for selecting top-tier investment strategies across public and private asset classes for our global client portfolios. BMR generates alpha through disciplined and rigorous manager research, selection and monitoring, with dedicated investment professionals across three specialized pillars: Investment Due Diligence (“IDD”), Operational Due Diligence (“ODD”) and Quantitative Due Diligence (“QDD”).

As part of BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) group, you'll be at the heart of how we approach global asset allocation, portfolio construction, and active investment management. Responsibilities • Identify, assess, and oversee a range of fixed income strategies across public and private asset classes • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the asset classes and strategies under review • Lead investment due diligence process, including onsite visits, detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the presentation of investment recommendations • Coordinate diligence effort across various internal functional teams • Identify and communicate emerging risks or potential opportunities associated with investments • Communicate domain expertise to sophisticated clients and BlackRock portfolio managers • Initiate and build relationships with investment teams and domain experts across BlackRock to facilitate knowledge transfer and aid decision-making Requirements • 3-5 years' relevant experience preferred • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail • A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity, eager to explore new challenges and drive continuous improvement • Exhibits a strong sense of emotional ownership towards clients and stakeholders by maintaining high levels of responsiveness and responsibility • Strong communication skills, with the right level of confidence and assertiveness, to present and promote ideas at all levels of the organization • Outstanding academic credentials • CFA certification or desire to complete the program Benefits • Strong retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Comprehensive healthcare • Support for working parents • Flexible Time Off (FTO) Apply tot his job
