About the Office of Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (OSGLI) Customer Service Center
The OSGLI Customer Service Center is a critical component of arenaflex's operations, providing essential support to service members, veterans, and their families. As a Customer Service Representative in this center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, explaining benefit coverage, documenting and investigating complaints, and promoting products and services that meet the unique needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities Provide information to policy holders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries regarding their life insurance coverage and benefits Receive, evaluate, and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, providing information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshooting Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services by responding verbally and/or in writing Assess needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services that meet the customer's requirements Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalating calls properly when appropriate Embody arenaflex's Leadership Competencies, demonstrating a passion for delivering top-quality service and a commitment to excellence Essential Qualifications 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience and well-developed transaction processing experience College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred Strong people skills with an ability to think like the customer and deliver exceptional service A passion for delivering top-quality service and a proven record of dependability, punctual and reliable attendance Ability to learn and retain a significant amount of technical information in a relatively short period Receptivity to detailed performance feedback and a willingness to continuously improve Proficiency with a keyboard and window-based applications, including Internet Proven self-motivation skills and active listening skills Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a fast-paced, inbound service center environment Familiarity with life insurance products and services Knowledge of military protocols and procedures Bilingual or multilingual skills
