The role involves assisting in financial modeling, managing investor relations during capital raises, and supporting GP-led transaction executions, providing a strong foundation for a career in private markets. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of financial models, company marketing materials and client presentations Manage investors throughout the capital raise process including by helping to facilitate their diligence Perform research and various analyses in support of thematic publications and new business generation Gain exposure to live GP-led transaction deal activity Work closely with mid-level and senior management to support execution of GP-led secondary transactions for key financial sponsor relationships Hone your skills by working closely with sponsor clients, secondary investors and Baird’s sector and product teams on a variety of GP-led transactions Skills A candidate energized by learning, teamwork, and real responsibility A proven academic record and a passion for finance (a finance degree is helpful, but not required) Drive, resilience, and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative setting Strong mathematical, writing, and verbal skills; relevant software proficiency Ability to obtain SIE and Series 79 licensing preferred Benefits Protected Friday night and Saturdays Periodic sabbaticals during career Shareholder opportunities Mandatory paid time off (PTO) Robust 401k match and profit-sharing contribution Company Overview Since 1919, Baird has guided families, businesses, communities and institutions toward their financial goals.
