Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a social justice organization that promotes the health and well-being of underserved communities. They are seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and manage operating systems. Responsibilities Provides Tier I and II technical support for users. Responds to users support requests both in person, over the phone and ticket queue Troubleshoots software and hardware issues.
Reimages computers operating system. Deploys workstations. Communicates with software vendor or accesses on-line technical supports to obtain software updates, upgrade, and or other fixes. Monitors and evaluates efficiency of software/hardware usage Creates documentation, tutorials and trains users in start-up, basic and advanced use of software. Coordinates and conducts group training. Creates new users accounts and provides new user orientation Provides administrative and technical support for meetings, and events Attends all agency, program and team meetings, in-service trainings, and supervision Other job-related duties as assigned by management Skills Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year related work experience; OR Associate's degree and 1-2 years of related work experience; AND One (1) year experience bolthires Windows environment, supporting bolthires network, and experience Office 365 administration Ability to provide effective and respectful service to employees, visitors and clients of diverse cultural beliefs and practices Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to use non-technical approaches to train others in the use of computer hardware and software Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects with various departments Effective ability to navigate a personal computer. Competency in use of the bolthires Office and other relevant software for word processing, calendaring, e-mail, and data entry. Efficiently research and perform various tasks via the internet Experience in PowerShell scripting is a plus Benefits ACRS pays 100% for employee only HMO/Virtual Plus medical benefits. Additional options are covered anywhere from 75% to 85%.
