Real Alloy is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. They are seeking a Furnace Assistant who will assist in all furnace operations to ensure smooth running operations and a productive shift while working in extreme temperatures in an industrial manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assisting in all furnace operations as required in a timely but safe manner to ensure smooth running operations and a productive shift Skills High School Diploma or equivalent Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical, and challenge driven Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds Position requires the use of senses, including visual examination, observing surrounding traffic, and determining employee location Position requires the ability to judge distance and distinguish colors Position requires the use of touch and smell to identify problems with equipment, and the ability to speak and understand speech Must be adequately able to hear safety alarms Position may require working in tight and confined working conditions Position will require working in extreme heat while working directly on or near furnaces Position requires the ability to climb, ascend/descend ladders, balance, and work at heights for extended periods of time Also requires body movement such as walking, standing, reaching, crouching, sitting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and turning of torso Benefits SIGN ON BONUS - $300 AFTER 90 DAYS (rehires not eligible) RETENTION BONUS - $600 AFTER 9 MONTHS (rehires not eligible) Company Overview Real Alloy is a mining & metals company that offers specification alloy and specialty products.
