The Strategy and Business Development Analyst will manage analytics, competitive intelligence, and market assessment in the energy and digital infrastructure space, contributing to the company's growth and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Build and Own Financial Models Develop and maintain detailed financial models for innovative commercial structures and emerging technologies Translate technical and operational inputs into financial insights that guide investment and partnership decisions Analyze New Opportunities Research market trends, competitors, and new technologies across the energy and digital infrastructure landscape Present clear, data-backed recommendations to inform strategy and pipeline development Advance Techno-Economic Modeling Evaluate the feasibility and economics of integrated energy systems Generate insights into bolthires, performance, and value creation for new technologies and operating models Support Strategic Initiatives Contribute to corporate- and project-level capital raises, including due diligence and investor materials Support portfolio and resource allocation decisions through quantitative and qualitative analysis Drive Commercial Growth and Partnerships Identify and support execution of new commercial opportunities across Intersect’s portfolio Help manage and strengthen strategic relationships with key partners and stakeholders Explore New Frontiers Participate in special projects such as M&A evaluations, new market entries, and product strategy assessments Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience 1–4 years of experience in energy, digital infrastructure, investment banking, or consulting Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, with the ability to simplify complex data and concepts for diverse audiences Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting technical and financial topics clearly Familiarity with energy topics and market dynamics Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset that thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments Coding experience in Python, R, or MATLAB for analytics or engineering applications Experience deriving insights from large datasets such as market data, telemetry, or operational performance data Benefits 100% premium coverage for you and your dependents on medical, dental, and vision Unlimited PTO, plus two company-wide breaks (Fourth of July & end of year) Up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, plus 6 additional weeks for birth parents; access to family planning support via Carrot and Maven Free access to Spring Health which includes 5 free Therapy & psychiatry sessions, plus a Headspace account for mindfulness and meditation through our physical health vendor, Wellhub 3% non-elective employer contribution to your 401k or RRSP, ensuring your financial future is on the right track $150 monthly food stipend $150 monthly reimbursement for cell phone/ internet Pet insurance allowance Full home office setup and free access to UrbanSitter with $625 in quarterly paid company credits ActiveHero One Medical Company Overview We focus on the co-location of industrial demand with dedicated hybrid-power generation.
