They are offering a twelve-month fellowship designed to provide early-career professionals with hands-on experience and training in areas of law, focusing on professional and skills development, mentorship, and exploration. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with legal research, motions, advice memos, discovery, and trial Assist attorneys in gathering documents, answering interrogatories, or taking notes during a witness deposition Assist in drafting motions, advice memos, mediation statements, and case briefs Performs other related duties as assigned Skills Qualified candidates will hold a Juris Doctorate degree from accredited institution.
Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position Bar membership is not required at the start of the position, but the successful candidate is expected to take a state bar exam and be admitted to practice within two years of receiving their JD Driver's license and willingness to travel may be required Desired candidates will hold a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school A top candidate would possess excellent research, writing, and communication skills
The ability to learn new legal principles, manage a sizeable volume of work and deadlines, and respond to the needs of various stakeholders is key
