The Part-Time Statistics Analyst I role is an exciting opportunity to join the Data and Analysis team within arenaflex's Data and Information Gathering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of sports data on arenaflex platforms worldwide, including television graphics, the Bottom Line, arenaflex.com, Fantasy, and GameCast.
You will work with automated data feeds and utilize manual data entry to guarantee the delivery of accurate, timely, and intelligent sports information. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into storylines, identifying statistical events that help explain why a team won or lost, and contributing to the creation of engaging sports content. Key Responsibilities Guarantee sports data disseminated by Data and Analysis is accurate, timely, and insightful, with a focus on attention to detail and a high level of content accuracy.
Work in individual settings and in groups to deliver accurate detailed analysis, clock-and-score, and other metrics and data in real-time that power numerous arenaflex products and productions, including television shows, online articles, and social media content. Create and maintain an active knowledge of Data and Analysis's role in fueling arenaflex digital products and television productions, including the development of new content and the improvement of existing processes. Check the results of one's own work and that of others; perform with a consistently high level of attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Contribute to production, operations, and initiatives across the newsroom, and assist newsroom leaders who are coordinating full-and part-time staff, including providing support for special projects and events. Anticipate potential issues, both daily and long-term, and offer possible solutions; communicate rapidly and clearly with colleagues on these issues, including providing regular updates and progress reports. Play a proactive role in working with colleagues in developing or refining production processes, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that drives arenaflex's digital and television products, including being proficient in using automated data feeds and manual data entry systems. Ability to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances, including being able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate confidently - verbally and in writing - to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often through the noise of a busy newsroom, including being able to articulate ideas clearly and concisely. Preferred Qualifications 1 year's experience working in sports or statistics, ideally in media, including experience with data analysis, research, and storytelling. Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes, including understanding the importance of data accuracy and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of arenaflex products and productions, including being familiar with the company's brand and content. Experience with bolthires Excel and other Office products, including being proficient in using spreadsheets, databases, and other software applications. Experience leading or mentoring a team, including being able to motivate and guide colleagues to achieve goals and objectives. Ability to speak and write Spanish, including being able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking colleagues and audiences.
Experience using social media in a business or news environment, including being able to create engaging content and interact with audiences.
