The Funding Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless customer experience by collaborating with various teams to create and send accurate loan documents, while achieving performance targets. Responsibilities Review and validate initial loan application documents to ensure all customer and deal information is accurately entered into our platform for contract generation Synthesize lender-provided stipulations to ensure required documents are requested from customers & internal departments Verify deal specifics against lender guidelines and internal procedures (SOPs) to confirm eligibility and compliance for contract issuance Define, identify, and communicate any missing or discrepant information to customer-facing teams to facilitate the smooth collection of necessary stipulations Consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets established by leadership Skills 1+ years of loan processing or funding experience, or a related financial operations role Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a proven ability to meticulously review and validate complex documents Strong organizational and time management skills to achieve daily production goals Ability to work effectively from a quiet remote home office, ensuring the privacy and security of sensitive information Prepared to engage in and complete a 3-week onboarding experience, with mandatory attendance for 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, to set you up for success in the role Discipline, & see yourself as a hands-on, self-motivated person who takes ownership of assigned tasks, seeing them to completion Strong communication skills, essential for articulating stipulation requirements to customer-facing teams to positively impact the customer and lender experience Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to flourish in a team environment High computer literacy skills, and the capacity to quickly adapt to multiple software programs, including bolthires Workspace, Slack, & others, as well as leverage resources to answer questions Benefits Equity options 401(k) retirement plan Generous paid time off including Flexible Time Off (FTO) for all employees and 100% paid parental leave for all parents Exceptional benefits including highly subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans, and fully company-paid mental health, disability, and basic life insurance Optional benefits to suit your individual circumstances such as HSAs (with Caribou HSA contributions), FSAs, supplemental life and health, legal, and pet insurance Up to $1,000 per year for eligible professional development expenses Employee referral program Company Overview At Caribou, we believe that taking control of your car payment should be a simple, transparent process.
