Panda Restaurant Group is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in America, seeking an Associate Payroll Accountant. This role is responsible for processing payroll information, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations for assigned regions. Responsibilities Process daily, weekly, and bi-weekly payroll for assigned Regions and complete payroll cycle Ensure garnishment orders are properly handled Upload vacation hours to Payroll system, and processes safety shoe payments from employees Enter, verify, and maintain payroll information for assigned Regions Provide customer service, communicating with General Managers regarding payroll time card issues Handle incoming calls from stores in assigned Region related to payroll issues Reconcile and prepare federal and state tax data for transmission to ADP Prepare journal entries for payroll tax liabilities for posting to the General Ledger System Handle and resolve agency inquiries May assist Supervisor in training other Payroll associates Reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required Minimum one year of related experience in a retail/hospitality environment If hired, successful completion of annual store training Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position Benefits Hybrid Work schedule 401K with company match Yearly bonus opportunity Full medical, dental, and vision insurance On-site fitness center, biometric screen, and flu shot clinic Discounts at Panda restaurants, theme parks, and gym memberships Paid time off starting at 15 days with 7 federal holidays Continuous education assistance and scholarships Income protection including Disability, Life and AD&D insurance Bereavement leave Benefits available for eligible permanent full time associates Company Overview Panda Restaurant Group provides quick service Chinese food in high traffic locations, including malls, airports and sporting arenas.
