We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with experience in Pulmonology to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications Perform diagnostic procedures, such as spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage Skills Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license DEA License CPR BCLS/BLS certified Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program A year of experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care Must have great organizational and time management skills Reliable transportation Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Wisconsin (100% commitment) Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided Benefits Health Dental Vision 401K Company-Sponsored Life Insurance Paid Time Off Malpractice Insurance Paid subscription to UpToDate Company Overview MedElite understands that ensuring optimal patient care is a challenge presented to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
