About the Role As an Engineering Manager for Charlotte AI, you’ll build and support teams that develop and maintain our generative AI‑powered virtual security analyst. Your focus will be the wellbeing and professional growth of your group, hiring additional talent, fostering an open and collaborative environment, and keeping roadmap delivery on track. Our Products • Accelerate threat detection and response—convert hours of work into minutes or seconds via simple queries. • Automate detection triage—Charlotte autonomously analyzes and prioritizes alerts with >98% accuracy.

• Bridge the cybersecurity skills gap—analysts can ask plain‑language questions and receive complex reasoning. • Enable faster decision‑making—Charlotte surfaces hidden threats and answers pressing security questions in seconds. What You’ll Do • Lead and build one or more teams of engineers focused on AI/ML engineering, backend systems, and UI/UX. • Manage organizational structure, workload, project resourcing, and coordination in a fast‑paced, distributed environment. • Support team wellbeing—provide guidance on progress, skills, and soft‑skills.

• Drive recruitment from initial contact through onboarding, emphasizing AI and cybersecurity passion. • Contribute to the product roadmap, set up your group to deliver it over the next 12–18 months, and share progress with other managers. • Participate in quarterly roadmap planning and prioritize AI/ML projects based on resource availability and business goals. • Collaborate with AI/ML researchers, data scientists, and security experts to push AI boundaries. • Enjoy solving challenging problems at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

What You’ll Need • Strong engineering track‑record and deep technical knowledge, preferably in AI/ML, distributed systems, or cloud‑native architectures. • Experience with GenAI, LLMs or Agentic Systems. • Mentoring and supporting people with empathy in fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environments. • Leading through others and setting up multiple teams for rapid iteration cycles. • Working with Product Managers and UX Designers on requirement analysis and design of AI‑powered features. • Track record of shaping short‑ and medium‑term product roadmaps for customer‑facing products.

• Managing multiple projects in startup‑like environments. • Understanding modern software practices: microservices, cloud platforms, agile methodologies. Bonus Points • Experience with technical teams, cybersecurity, and AI/ML startups. • Proficiency with Go, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS. • Experience in remote‑first environments and global teams. • Familiarity with data pipelines, vector databases, and AI model training and deployment. • Knowledge of cybersecurity domain and security operations.
