Requirements:
Β Bachelors degree in education and then masters or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
Β SPED Teachers usually specialize or focus on teaching certain students (K-12th, Mild-Moderate Level Students, or even Severe Autistic students). These specifications may be listed as endorsements on their license.
Β Often work with student evaluations: IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan)
Β Must hold and Active Special Education State Teaching License
Β VOCO: Must have State License, 2 Years of School Experience, and Education Certificate if required.

Responsibilities:
Β Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Β Providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
Β Assessing student progress, adapting curriculum materials, and implementing behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
