The Judicial Case Processor I position is an entry-level role within the Justice of the Peace Court, focusing on learning legal processes and procedures while performing a variety of case processing activities. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of legal documents and facilitating the smooth operation of court functions.
Responsibilities
Ā Review legal/court documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable time limitations, costs, and court procedures.

Ā Prepare and issue a wide variety of court and legal documents.

Ā Research case files, records, databases, and other sources of information to ensure accuracy of case data and resolve discrepancies.

Ā Enter information into manual or automated systems.

Ā Prepare and maintain files and records ensuring all required documents are included.

Ā Provide information on court/unit procedures and event status to the public, judges, attorneys, and litigants.

Ā Attend hearings and proceedings to provide files, records, and case information to judicial officers; record event disposition and administer oaths.
Requirements
Ā Entry-level experience in case processing or a related field.

Ā Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures is preferred.
