Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Remote Inpatient Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding for inpatient hospital stays and be able to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Ā Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient hospital visits.
Ā Review medical records to ensure proper coding and compliance with CMS and payer regulations.
Ā Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation.
Ā Maintain productivity and accuracy standards set by the organization.
Ā Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Ā Certification: CCS (AHIMA) or CIC (AAPC) required.
Ā Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient coding experience.
Ā Strong understanding of DRG assignment and CMS regulations.
Ā Experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
Ā Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ā Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
