We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Staff Accountant
6 month contract
Remote - Must be local to Irvine, CA
Responsibilities
Β We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced, Staff Accountant Contractor to support our finance and accounting team on a contractual basis, approx. 30-40 hours per week. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Staff Accountant Contractor will play a key role in maintaining day to day activity, cost accounting, and supporting month end close activities.

Requirements:
Β BachelorΒs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Β Minimum of 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
Β Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
Β Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Β Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Β Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Β Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Β Experience in Medical Devices or Manufacturing

Β Position reports to the Controller and will support both the Controller and Director of Finance for the organization.
Β Cost accounting, familiarity with standard cost systems, BOM set up and variance analysis.
Β Fixed Asset management.
Β Perform monthly account reconciliations.
Β Prepare monthly journal entries.
Β Support day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and production accounting.
Β Support year-end financial audit; provide documents and support to external auditors as requested.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
